🎾 Sunday Social – Important Travel Information: Sunday 30 August

  • 2 min read

Sunday Social is ON this Sunday, 30 August, from 12–5pm at Centennial Parklands Sports Centre.

Due to the Sydney Marathon, there will be major road closures and changes to vehicle access around Moore Park. Please allow plenty of extra travel time.

🚊 Public Transport Recommended

We strongly recommend using Light Rail where possible.

  • L2 Light Rail will continue to operate between Central and Randwick, including Moore Park.

  • L3 Light Rail services from the CBD will terminate at Moore Park between 6am and 2pm.

  • You can take either L2 or L3 from Central to Moore Park.

  • Bus services will be significantly affected by road closures, so we recommend avoiding buses where possible.

🚗 Driving Before 1:30pm

If you are arriving by car before 1:30pm, you will need a printed Vehicle Access & Parking Pass (VAPP).

Access to Moore Park Golf car park is via:

South Dowling Street → LEFT into Cleveland Street → Moore Park Golf

There is no access to/from Anzac Parade before 1:30pm.

You must:

  • Print the pass before travelling

  • Fill in your name, mobile number and vehicle registration

  • Display the completed pass clearly in your vehicle

🚨 Digital/mobile versions will NOT be accepted. You must have a printed copy.

🚗 Driving After 1:30pm

After 1:30pm, a Vehicle Access & Parking Pass is no longer required.

Access is via:

Dacey Avenue → Anzac Parade → Cleveland Street

⚠️ Please note that the Centennial Parklands Sports Centre car park next to the courts will remain closed until 4pm.

If arriving before 4pm, use Moore Park Golf car park.

🚶 From Moore Park Golf to the Courts

From Moore Park Golf car park, you will need to cross Anzac Parade via the footbridge to reach Centennial Parklands Sports Centre.

The walk takes approximately 15–20 minutes, so we recommend arriving at Moore Park Golf around 30 minutes before you intend to reach the tennis courts.

⏰ Plan Ahead

Significant traffic and delays are expected throughout the area.

Where possible, we strongly recommend taking the L2 or L3 Light Rail to Moore Park. 🚊

See you on court! 🎾🌈
