Tennis Sydney is proud to be supporting Sweat with Pride, a national Pride Month movement run by Rainbow Giving Australia that turns everyday movement into meaningful action for LGBTQIA+ communities.

Across the month of June, participants are encouraged to move for 21 minutes a day — whether that means tennis, walking, gym, yoga, dancing, stretching, swimming or anything else that gets you moving. The challenge is simple, inclusive and accessible: move in your own way, at your own pace, while raising funds for a cause that sits closely with Tennis Sydney’s values.

As a club founded on inclusion, community and connection through tennis, this is a natural initiative for Tennis Sydney to support. We know the power of sport to bring people together, create belonging and help people feel seen, supported and welcome. Sweat with Pride gives us a practical and joyful way to put those values into action during Pride Month.

Funds raised through Sweat with Pride support Rainbow Giving Australia, the national foundation for LGBTQIA+ communities, and its work funding community-led organisations across Australia. These organisations provide vital services in areas such as mental health, legal assistance, education, advocacy and social inclusion — helping strengthen rainbow communities not just during Pride Month, but all year round.

Tennis Sydney has created a team for members, friends and supporters to join, and we have set ourselves a fundraising target of $2,500.

This is an opportunity for our members and friends to get moving, support each other and raise funds for services that make a real difference for LGBTQIA+ people across Australia. You do not need to be super fit, and you do not need to be on court every day. A walk, a hit of tennis, a gym session, a stretch, a swim or even a dance around the living room all count.

How to join

Register at sweatwithpride.com.au and select the existing team Tennis Sydney when signing up.

You can also support the team by donating, sharing the campaign with friends and family, or encouraging other members to get involved.

Let’s move together this June, raise funds for rainbow communities, and show what it means to play with pride.
